The Northern California Writing Project is a nationally recognized professional organization devoted to improving the teaching and learning of writing in the North State. We serve schools and teachers in all of the following counties: Siskiyou, Modoc, Lassen, Trinity, Shasta, Tehama, Plumas, Butte, and Glenn.
An affiliate of the National Writing Project, the Northern California Writing Project is a No Child Left Behind-approved professional development provider. The NCWP offers programs designed to improve the writing of Northern California's students. The Summer Invitational Institute is the centerpiece of the NCWP's offerings, but numerous, flexible programs are also available for students, teachers, and administrators. District-wide inservices are offered, along with professional development institutes for individual teachers at all educational levels.
